Yesterday, Ambassador Todd presided over a repatriation ceremony to honor the recovery of possible remains of missing U.S. military service members found in Kampong Cham province.
Ambassador Todd and His Excellency Sieng Lapresse, First Vice-Chairman of the Cambodian Prisoner of War/Missing in Action (POW/MIA) Committee, signed documents transferring the remains to the U.S. government.
In his remarks, Ambassador Todd paid tribute to the sacrifices of missing U.S. military service members and their families, reaffirmed the U.S. government’s commitment to bringing the missing home, and thanked H.E. Lapresse for the Cambodian government’s gracious and indispensable assistance to the recovery efforts.
